Difference in these AC delco oil filters??

Hi,

Does anyone know the difference between the PF25 filter and the PF454 filter. My SS book shows that im supposed to use the PF25 filter, but the autozone website says i can use PF454 as well, does anyone know the difference? Thanks

i believe the pf454 is supposed to replace the pf25, but its a bit shorter. I'd go with the pf1218....its bigger (the size of the pf35) and has an anti drain back valve.

From past experience the option in part #'s is clearly a preference on the size of resorvoir you wish that is still compatible with the car.

PF454 is the better bet. You can go to any PepBoys or Autozone and visibly see the difference for yourself.

Just don't get a JiffyLube Oil Filter. Only leak I've experience with a filter.

Hope that helps.

It's just a bigger/longer filter. It lets you hold a little more oil. Nothing major though

SEARCH!!! The 454 replaced the 25. The 1218 replaced the 35. Go with the 1218
