Difference in cam from 350-383???

Is there a difference or a change need to be made in going from a lt1 355 to a 383 in the camshaft? Someone brought up a reduced circle base? Can someone shed some light on this issue? Thanks

From my experiences with two motors and two eagle assemblies they clear w/o needing a smaller base circle cam on the hydralic rollers.
Edit - both of my motors are 383's
A lot of it depends on what rods your using with your stroker and weather or not the throws will clear the cam lobes

You will need a smaller base circle to clear the stroke change. Something in the neighborhood of .990-.950. If ya get the right stroker rods the clearance on the block is minimal.

Ask your cam manufacturer.
There is no drawback to a small base circle cam.
