Difference between air/no air cats?

I am about to order a hi flow catalytic converter and I really need to know which one to purchase. What is the difference between air and no air? Thanks.

A cat with air has the tube that comes out of the side.
It connects with a rubber hose that pumps air into the cat.
Our cars pump the air into the headers so you don,t need the air tube on the cat. But some times it will come with one but have a plug on it.

Hope this helps.
