Difference between 92-93 and 94-97 intakes?
Difference between 92-93 and 94-97 intakes?
I was wondering what the difference is (other than the fuel rails being different) between 92-93 and 94-97 intake manifolds?
Re: Difference between 92-93 and 94-97 intakes?
On the 93, the fuel lines are a bit different. They don't run over the intake like in the front and back. The 94+ has a groove to accomodate the metal fuel lines, the 93 don't have it.
Re: Difference between 92-93 and 94-97 intakes?
That link made no reference to the difference between the 92-93 style and the 94-97 style intake. Like, in my first post I already know the fuel rails are different. What I need to know is there any internal difference between the two? More specifically is there any reason that you couldnt use a 93 intake on a 94-up car and vice versa, given that you run the correct fuel rail?

Well, I have a chance to buy a ported 93 for a good price and I was planning on running custom fuel rails, I just want to make sure this will work before I I spend the money. They take a different throttle body, so does that mean the IAC is different?

My main concern is the little passages in the runners, I really dont know what they are or do but I figure they are important and I was wondering if they are cast in the early model?
