I tried using my buddy's Scanmaster out of his 1987 Buick Grand National to pull DTC's from my 94 T/A but all the Scanmaster would display was "2.0" millivolts and nothing in the knock retard display. Is there a different version of the Scanmaster for the LT1, or did I just get something wrong somewhere? I pressed both mode and recall buttons but nothing changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated - my SES light is on and the car is running like crap. Thanks

 

Yep, there is a difference. Here is mine LT1 Scanmaster. That pic shows how I wanted mine installed, under my stereo, test fit in my Olds. I had to do this though. I guess they have LS1 Scanmasters now too.
