Is the only diff. between the 2 catbacks, the over the axle pipe, or is the other differences?

I believe the only difference is the intermediate pipe. It is a slip fit very similar to the 95-97 dual cat cat backs. You will need an "s pipe" to hook it up. something like this. The two alumanized 90 degree mandrel bends. I bought the mandrel U from jegs for ~ 20 bucks i think.

If you got a 95-97 you could buy a stainless works s pipe through summit. Maybe it would work with a lil modification on the LS1 catback, but wait for someone else to confirm that.

Can somone else confirm that the intermediate pipe is the only difference, i'm 99% sure thats it.

The reason i'm asking is there is a ls1 exhaust i might be interested in, but it does not come with the over the axle pipe. I was wondering if i could just buy a single cat pipe to fit into the muffler. It is for a 94z.

 

94formula do you know the part number for that u bent pipe you got?
