Question did some 180's now steering is stiff..?

I did a couple donuts today and after I did it, my steering was stiff as ****it takes so much effort just to make a left turn. whats wrong?

side note:my khumos smoke up like a ***** from just the 2 180's oh yea, and my drivers side fender well has a lot of rubber in it, where as my passenger side is completely empty

After doing donuts, (I have never done any) many people have had their power steering pumps die, even numerous times. When you are spinning, the wheels want to turn but they cant and this somehow ruins the pump...

Higher pump pressures are encounted when the steering is turned near the end of it's travel. It is usually not an issue because you don't leave it turned for extended periods and are not hitting 3k-5k rpms when parallel parking.

When doing donuts, people have a tendency to hold the wheel at "full lock" (because they are not thinking about the steering too much at the moment ) and that is when the most pressure is generated. Coupled with the high rpm = bad news. It is then that lots of people have encountered shredded or thrown belts and sometimes pump failures.

LOL, yup, I happened to do that 3 times in a week, until I finally got off my lazy can & replaced the worn-out tensioner assembly...
