Diagnosis Murder.

The results are in. Somebody kille my 97SS.

With only 8k on the odom; modded by pro mech with best parts; never abused, and yet the SOB died Sunday.

Apparently the bearings went south and the oil pressure dropped or vice versa. At any rate I feel cheated.

I tried to do all the best for this thing and it still went to hell.

Mech. says he will try to get a short block and use my heads, cam, etc to rebuild.

But I am too gun shy now. I will probably just get rid of the thing when it is fixed. I couldn't take having it go south when I don't even know how it could happen.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

You have over 2800 posts and apparently found a way to register at this website a full 30 years before it was created. Why be so quick to cut and run on a car you obviously love?

Just have them put together a mild rebuild...something pretty reliable, and just enjoy the car?

Thanks guys. I just don't know what happened. I am really concerned that if it could happen this easily, that it might happen again with a rebuild.

There really was no obvious warning. Just started knocking, losing power, and that was it.

Only 8 thousand %##*&$((, easy miles and I need a new engine. Where's the justice.
