I had a 396 stroker kit installed and the machine shop "hit water" when machining clearance for the crank. They used Devcon to repair the deep cut and didn't tell me about it. I found out later when some other work was being done on the engine that it had what appeared to be a braised spot near the pan rail. I asked the machine shop about it and he said he used Devcon - I presume its the product with the bronze in it due to it's color. Does anyone know if I should be concerned about the patch failing - not enough heat resistance?
