Just cc'ed 3 of them. 52,53, and 55 cc's. They have all been roughed in but the 55cc one is finished. Had to notch the plexiglass just a little because the edge of the intake valve stuck up a few thousandths above the deck surface and wouldn't let it seal. Looks like I better grind on the other two a little before slicking them up. Of course I'll measure them all and equalize them all to the largest chamber.
CC'ed the intake ports too and they went between 177 to 179 cc's, I was surprised they came in that close to the 180cc port I'm modeling the first try. I used a template that went from the intake entry all the way to the long side of the bowl. Seems like it worked pretty well.

its a good design, that is how diamond made my pistons, it is supposed to fight detonation as well due to the lack of a ridges and less chance of a hotspot

Not discounting the experience of those who have posted, but I prefer to stick with what I KNOW works. I have seen this design work fine on blower cars and cars with 4V heads, but not with a traditional SBC head in an NA application. Not at all saying it doesn't work, just that I haven't seen it one way or another. I just have to few motors to try something new when there is a potential downside and no obvious benefit.

Yeah, if I'd known ahead of time they were a round dish design I'd have ordered something else. I talked to a tech at Mahle and he said the round dish was because the 6" rod didn't leave enough overhead for a standard D shaped dish.
