desktop dyno?????

I, basically, am past the parts acquisition phase of my 1994 camaro build.. and now it's in the machinist hands. My question is... what can I expect? I will list all my parts because I have no idea what to expect.

Engine:
Eagle forged crank
Eagle H-beam Rods
-5cc SRP forged pistons
File fit rings
4 bolt 1995 vette LT1 block .030 over
1.6 magnum RR's
stage II ported heads/matching cam
54mm ported intake
30# SVO injectors
Pacesetter LT's without emissions
CAI
54mm TB
NGK plugs
Taylor Wires
hyperstat thermostat
Spec stage II clutch w/ Billett flywheel
COMPLETE BMR tubular suspension, panhard adjustable, torque arm with loop,a-arms
Lakewood boxed LCA's
HAL adjustable shocks (all four)

car will run a/c with all accesories. I know it's a lot of stuff, but I got the car (not running) from auction, and I've just accumulated parts for it over time, and I've never messed with a 4th gen, so I have no clue... thanks Dwayne

Re: desktop dyno?????

i'd say 350ish0RWHP would be a good estimate. May be high, may be a little low, but id say from 340-375 would be a good estimate

depending on the stroke of the crank, and the H/C setup anywhere from 350-450

Yes, with no cam or head specs, it's hard to get a close estimate. Since you stated Stage 2, I'll say it'll probably be around what a cc306 gets with some nice heads. To me, that's a "stage 2" cam. Also depends a lot on the tune.

Yea, what is your cam and compression ratio?

Re: desktop dyno?????

Good story about DD.... my brother in law bought a 5.0L Fox body with a 347 in it. The guy who built this motor did most of the right things, AFR 185's, Vic Jr intake, solid roller cam, Probe bottom end. The only problem was the cam specs for the motor were 268/276 because DD said that's what will make the most power, well in reality thats about 20° more duration than the motor needs to make power and get down the track the quickest. So DD is not how to pick a cam in a box.

Re: desktop dyno?????

the crank stroke is 3.50

cam specs are:

power range 1000-5000 rpm

Duration
in. ex.
266 276

@ .050 210 220

Lift .500 .510 (with 1.5rr's)

hope this helps. thanks D

Re: desktop dyno?????

Well, with that cam, things are going to be very torquey! I think you could definitely go with a bigger cam with all those mods. 210 intake duration is only like 6 degrees bigger than a stock one. What about one of those new XFI cams or even a custom Bauer one?
