I have owned Fords before.. and they *all* were pieces of S.H.!.T

Oh the Ford Escort GT... all the plastic trims were cracking up... all the dashboard everywhere... The ignition module was constantly going out without a hint... Kinda made me feel I had to have a few spare ones in the pocket for every trip to the grocery store...The front suspension "the worst" ball joints always wearing out because the suspension design Bad motor mounts... I can go on and on and on... If the Mustang is anything like the Fords I owned before.. I feel sorry for Dang Cowboys.

Chevy has way better plastic than ford... in my experience...

Most American cars other than Cadillac use cheap ****. I mean would you rather have good plastic and a V6 or cheap plastic and a 350? It just boils down to money. If you want to get into the nitty gritty though, Ford is garbage. We have a 93 Mercury Sable LS station wagon with so many things wrong I don't even want to make a list but I will attempt to sum it all up... And remember, we bought it new for around 30 g's fully loaded.

Door ajar light stays on
Weatherstripping cracked off in many places (doors, hatch)
Check engine light come on and off and makes no noticeable diff. (It has been determined that the check engine light is a separate entity than the car)
Dash is cracked in about 3 places
The outside temp. reads probably 15* higher than it should
The stupid plastic driver's side door lock switch is broken so I gotta do the ghetto "reach over and open maneuver"
The worst! Our brand new power steering pump goes bad after 2 weeks.
Even after the A/C was serviced it still blows only hot air
The car destroyed the Pioneer Premier P1R cd player I put in it and now to change a cd the car has to turn on and off... don't even think about changing cd's on the freeway.

I could go on too... ford is garbage. My brother just got an 89 5.0, it's a POS. He knows it, I know it. Even when you take into account the age factor, it's still POS status.

I met a guy from school who impressed me, he had a 93 5.0, 330 stroker, 10.5:1 , AFR 185 heads, E303, nitto 555's on all 4's etc. etc. On drag radials he expects 12.8 and is only making 330 to the wheels, he said 10 more rwhp with long tubes... Before he told me that I was expecting a monster! Shoot if you stroke a GM you are going to have some serious *****... my stock cammed headed and bottom ended 6# blown car would whoop his cars *** on street tires (he took me for a ride). That's not good Ford.

Something's a bit wrong if his 330ci 5.0 is only doing 12.8s.

My friends 93 goes 12.27 on slicks with a custom cam (dont know the specs offhand) and AFR 185s making 310rwhp.. He's looking to creep up on 11s with longtubes.
