Delteq wires

So it looks like its time for some new plug wires for my delteq setup. I seemed to melt a couple and im getting a light show. Would standard HEI boots fit on the wires? Anybody have any recomendations?

Re: Delteq wires

When I put mine on (Delteq) I had the guys over at Elitesparkplugs send me universal 9mm wires with braided heat sheild on them and I ran them over the covers. They also got me some boots that slip over the plug ends to give 600degrees contact sheilding, and 1200 degrees ambient. no probs so far. These wires really were a work of art. Nicest things I have ever seen. Give them a call, they are real reassonable and can accommodate most custom options. James Maldonado is the guy!! Goes by Maldo on this board. HTH

Re: Delteq wires

I just used the Standard V8 Chevy Taylor wires, with the cut-to-length. They work great. I bought the hi-temp boots as well, but only use them on the 5/7 & 6/8 plugs where everything is VERY close.

You should have come to us for a custom set ... we could have match or beat the price ..... and you would have not had to cut the wires yourself ...
