Delteq installed (w/pics)

I've been working with Jim @ Elitesparkplugs on getting precut wires for valvecover mounted delteq units with headers (specifically jet hots but they should work with most headers). We're in the final stages right now. The wires are very nice, and come heatshielded for added protection.

I have pics available, but I need them to be hosted or a good site I can host the pictures on.

Re: Delteq installed (w/pics)

I love that delteq system-want one BAD. How close do the wires come to the headers? Hard to tell from the pic, but some look like they are coming pretty close. At least it would be easy to tell if one got burt and VERY easy to replace.

i like the way it looks, its like a modern small block, coil packs (essentially) where you can see it just like the old small blocks with the distributor on top of the motor where it can be seen.

Re: Delteq installed (w/pics)

Judging by the EVAP purge flow sensor it's a 96/97. I am interested to hear how the car runs at high RPM. I am still trying to find out my problem since my Delteq install.

Re: Delteq installed (w/pics)

nin97 - the car seems to be running fine. I was having fuel economy problems and certain other misc issues with the car but the delteq didn't fix that. I'm thinking my o2's are bad though and therefore fouled the plugs, which I still haven't changed. I'll be doing plugs and o2's this weekend to see if there is any difference.

rdavis93 - the wires have more than enough room from the header primaries. Some of the pics are decieving, but there is plenty of room!

baddboy1705- Yes those are zip ties Honestly, I have yet to find a better way to hold wires together and in place. The zip tie method is amazing! One ziptie goes around the wires and another in between to separate them. It keeps the wires where I need them and they won't budge. If I can find something that looks a bit better, I'll give it a shot but the zipties are small, and not in your face. Plus, the zip ties are no where as close to the headers as it seems, so they haven't melted whatsoever.
I'm in the process of finishing up the wire measurements. Some wires are going to be recut because they're a bit short. Jim is going to be out until the 23rd but as soon as he returns we should be done and he should have the wires available.

F-body Scotty- car's a '96.

HBHRacing - I haven't had any problems with at high rpm. I did spray down the shocktowers though and the car started running like absolute ****! I'm not sure if the delteq got wet or what, but it would backfire and stumble and barely rev. I turned the car off and unplugged the battery for about an hr. When I started it back up, it worked fine. Not sure what got wet, but I hope it didn't cause any permanent damage.

Thanks for the comments guys.
