delteq with ignition box...

...is it necessary? I have an MSD coil, taylor OTVC wires and a crane hi-6R w/ boost retard I've been running for awhile now but my opti is getting flaky. I'm installing the delteq tomorrow, I'm just wondering with the multiple coils if the crane box will be doing any good for the engine running the delteq at the same time. Anyone know?

Re: delteq with ignition box...

That crane box actually isn't compadible with the Delteq, so you can't use it anyways.

If you do want to still run a box, I know MSD has ones that are compadible, but they are ~$300-$400, their DIS series.

The Crane box you describe and the MSD-6 series are built for single coil systems, when you go to a multiple coil setup, they don't work with the ignition anymore.
