Delayed Throttle and hiss noise???
Delayed Throttle and hiss noise???
I pulled up to my house today and left the car in neutral. I reved it up it was okay. So then i pressed the gas real fast to the floor and i noticed the rpms don't raise right away. It is delayed a little. Also right when i do this i here like a loud hiss. Does anybody know what this could be? Is the throttle supposed do be delayed like this? I forgot how it was before(the car was sitting for 2 weeks). Do you think the hiss noise is just my CAI sucking the air in real fast?

Maybe your CAI is clogged up and NOT sucking in air real fast, or possibly a clogged cat.

Well i figured out that the noise is coming from my CAI. It is from it sucking up a lot of air real fast i guess. But if i'm rolling the car at like 1000 rpms in first and then i punch it real fast all i get it that hiss noise then a little less then a second later the car takes off. But it barely even chirps the tires now. I got brand new yokohamas on there but it still should spin them up if i punch it in first at 1000rpms.
anybody else have any suggestions of what to look for? The car seems to run fine. But if i just mash the gas at low rpms it takes a second to respond to what i just did. The plugs, wires, and opti all have under 4000 miles on them.
