degreeing a cam
degreeing a cam
When i put my HotCam in my buddy and i degreed the cam and come up with 113 and 111, so we agreed that we might have counted wrong, so we said hell with it and it must be right cause it was between the two numbers and we agreed that how could we really mess it up since everything went smoothly. So the cam work and no problems but it sounds better then a lot of hotcams i have heard and the question is
When i start out from first, as soon as the clutch slightly engages it wants to stall out. I have to really work the RPMs and clutch to roll out without stalling and taking off from a bat out of hell.
I have to rev around 2000 rpms and work the clutch. So could it really be possible to get the degreeing wrong in out LT1 cars? Could my 112LSA be a little off?

yes. i have tried to tune myself and have the OBD1 w/ tunercat and i know it isn't smooth but she sounds good.
I was thinking that the clutch was engaging and the RMPs fall low to sound stalling. It does take a lot to balance it out. It never feels consistant. But if you rev higher and slowly engage its alright, but it makes me look like i haven't been driving a stick for very long.
