Dead spot upon acceleration

I have a 1995 Pontiac trans am with a LT1 it runs fine except when I give it the gas it seems like it falls on its face before it accelerates what could be the cause of this problem

Re: Dead spot upon acceleration

Check the rubber inlet elbow between the MAF sensor and the throttle body for tears, or the bottom edge of the elbow not being fully installed on the throttle body.

Is this basically a stock engine, or modified? Auto or manual trans? How many miles on the engine?

I'm going to move this thread to the “LT1 Based Engine Tech” forum. More traffic there than in the Midwest regional (Indiana) forum.
