datalogging for 96

Ive searched for hours now and trying to determine what software I can datalog a 96 with that is worthwhile and be used in conjunction with jet dst. I have a message out to the engineers at jet as well as waiting for a phone call I may never recieve from westers garage for the availibility of ecmpro scan as it appears its discontinued. I have the opportunity to buy the jet dst right now at a fair price but without datalogging abilities without breaking the bank I might be making a mistake. I would have to travel a couple hundred miles for dyno tuning so email tunes are my best bet for a while and I would like to learn how to tune myself also and be able to tweak some things. I am also considering converting to obd1 but just a little bit lost right now as my best option vs the least expensive vs what would get me by as my longblock should be ready to ship any day now. my sig will show my build plans. Thanks for any advice.

from what i hear converting to obd1 is a better option for theres more program availibility out there. Problem with that is emissions though, also as far has a logger with jet dst compatible i haven't found any tha are still supported would like to know about ecmpro though

The autotap is no longer available. Kinda looks discouraging without finding used stuff or going with the hptuners suite. Anyone with any experience with that? I did find a used autotap on ls1tech but it wont let me post on the forums so I cant ask if its sold.

Autotap sends me e-mail regularly, since I own one. Website appears to be intact and active.

i emailed them and they responded back that they have discontinued the autotap line and are no longer offering this product. i inquired specifically about the autotap 3.1 wt gm enhancement but stated my purpose of using to datalog and tune in conjunction with jet dst.

MXscan works with Jet DST for OBD2 PCMs, but it looks like it isn't available for sale anymore. You can try contacting Craig Moates to see if he can do anything for you. MXScan Standard

FYI - MXscan was really beta software when it was released and has many bugs in it. But I have found it useful to do some logging with the Jet DST.

Another alternative is the LM2 wideband fronm innovate.

You can scan and datalog OBD2 parameters.
Logwors is a great tool for tuning too.

I use that combination for tuning OBDII LT1 cars now.

Wow, that is surprising. I emailed them too and they told me the same thing. They are no longer offering it.
