Dart 200cc now available

I just noticed that the 200cc Darts are now available.
If anyone tries them, please let me know how they work out.

http://www.dartheads.com/products/sb...ro1-heads.html

Looks like they're the same price as the 180s.

LE, AI, Port Pro's....someone should pick those up, so we could see some #'s from them..And how do they compare to their 180's.

Sounds like they're the same basic casting, with less material.
IE: less porting to do.

End results should be the same as the 180s.

Thats not bad, the price is great, few hundered cheaper then the AFRs. Do these still mate with the Lt1 Intake manifold or a LT4 required?

how much more hp would porting them yield you over running them the way they come from dart?

Anyone who gives you a number is just making things up. The head is untested as is the porting and "porting" means a lot of different things to different people and has a HUGE range of results. A local guy is having trouble with a heads/cam car running what another guy's cam only car does and while we have not eliminated all possibilities at this time it looks like it is either his "full ported" locally done heads or the pcmforless tune. The heads/cam car has more stall and gear too and a lighter driver.

I suppose some conclusions could be drawn from looking at the gen 1 versions of these heads BUT I do not think they would be the whole story.

Very true, even if you had back to back engine dyno results from identical setups,
the numbers would only really apply to that specific configuration.
They would make a good marketing data though

FWIW, my ouija board tells me it's worth 7.23rwhp

road trip is running a set of CNC ported dart heads on his LT1 with a single plane intake and a 6 speed. last I heard he was running bottom 11s @ ~130 with room to grow. apparently they have potential.

Yes, the T4Ps are awesome and are boasting crazy flow numbers up top.
I'll be very interested to see how they perform with a "streetable" H/R cam.

Are those these same 200cc heads?

Yes it is a fast car but seems to me it is grossly overhyped seeing as a more streetable car is faster with GM casting heads and intake and is running an ET to match.

Zigroid, would you happen to know for sure, that Roadtrip actually hit 130mph, N/A with those heads? Im not being a smartass, Id just like to know, that would help me decide what heads to pickup this winter.

Let Brady shake his set up down with a good six speed in the car, from what I understand Brady hasn't really even gotten the chance to see what his set up will do. Rick's been running that car with his various set ups a lot longer then Brady has, so dont pass judgment so quickly on whats hyped and what all runs what. Let Brady dial his car and then say what you want, not just based on one pass when his trans let go. Also Rick, isn't running a GM casted heads any more or a GM casted Intake, he has a set of 215cc CNC'd TFS and a Pro Ram. Figure he would have lost all your support since you seem to dislike after market heads and intakes so much.

He was talking about Aleks. The 355 SR with Ai 200cc LT1 heads. Went 10.8 at 128ish.

I think Brady's car isn't really a good fit for this discussion either seeing as his car has ported dart heads not factory dart 200cc heads. His car also only went 126mph on his passes.

No it was not with factory dart 200cc heads. It was with a set of dart heads extensivly ported (a couple grand worth). And he did not go 130mph to my knowledge, it was like 126.
