darn p0300 shoebox anyone not again

darn p0300 shoebox anyone not again

Well i did my water pump last week today It flashed 2 and stayed on scanned it po300 i have all new plugs and wires are about 3 years old msds Im thinking maybe it got wet a little when water pump was leaking... I dont know opti is not evena year old .....any ideas

I have gotten the flashing Misfire SES light before also.

It was another year or so before the opti went out. So it may not mean that the end of your opti is near.

Did you ever get a cylinder specific misfire code?

No it said random cylynder misfire, and the opti is only a year old how can it go out that quick...

You mentioned that maybe you got it a little wet. I would give it some time to dry out, and then drive it in a few days.

Check the voltage output from the battery and charging system. Low voltage seems to trigger the random cylinder misfire on these cars.

Okay I have a digital meter on back for the car and alternator I have 2 batteries running the car I check under the car I have that oil leak from timing cover that leaks and i thimk it maybe that but then again that has been leaking for over a year...
