Damn Fuel Lines!!! Give Me Some Help.

I have a 1993 Z28 and I cant get the damn fuel lines off the intake. I got those plastic fuel line removers from the local auto parts store and they get the smaller of the two off but the larger line doesn't budge. Give me some help! LOL

Push the plastic tool inside the fuel line. Then, push the fuel line towards the plastic tool. Then, pull the plastic tool and fuel line off together simultaniously. Hope this helps.

Make sure you are using the correct size disconnect tool.

I have done this before but for some reason on this new car the 2 fuels lines are different sizes. On my 97 both were the same size. Now using 2 different size tools. I have tried everything and only gotten one to come off. Damn these little cheap *** o reilly tools!

There is not much more advice to give. I used the Lisle tool and it worked pretty well.

What silverz28 said is just the way to do it.

I just pulled mine off today and the larger one (the one in front was a little harder to get off). Just do what silverz28 said. That's the way I got mine off.

I would try not twisting it first. I twisted and pulled and it twisted two of the four tabs that locks the fuel line on. Not a replaceable item unless you replace the fuel line. I will never take the rail off again.

Yeah, you don't twist it first. You twist a little after the tool is inserted and the clips have been retracted. This is to free it, if it is stuck on the end of the tube.

I had to use a different brand of fuel disconnect tools. The one that worked was by Lisle. The same one shoebox used. I spent weeks trying to get it off and then switched brands and it worked within 30 seconds.

Same crap happened to me. I used those multi-colored ones by OEM or Performance Tools or something like that. Wasted a whole night. Next morning bought the white Lisle set and got them off in about 10 seconds.
