dammit another problem with inclines!

everytime I take the damn camaro out...it cant be a peaceful event.

I took the car out 2 weeks ago, and the car turned off on me on the expressway due to heavy rain. Im not sure if the car sucked up water, or what not. After about 5 minutes of being parked on the side of the road, it turned on, but it turned on with a different tune....in that I mean, the car wasnt pickin up the way it normally would, and it didnt sound right. It got me home, and I parked it.

Today, I decided to take it to work (I work 5 miles from my house) and, again, the car sounded a bit weird, but drove well. In fact, it picked up nicely after being parked for so many days.

As I get into my parking garage (mind you, theres a pretty steep incline to get into the parking lot, the car begins to bog really badly. I had to gas the **** out of the car and play with the clutch to avoid it from stalling out.

Im lost. This problem has happened to me occasionally, especially going up a steep incline.

the opti is a year old, and im not sure that its the problem. Also, its a 96 block with a vented opti, so im hoping it can survive more than teh non-vented...

Have you hooked it up to see what the sensors are doing? You could be getting random "false" knock. Check the coil, plug wires, and O2's. Do you still the EGR? I could be sticking.

Think it might be fuel related?

A clogged fuel filter or maybe even a failing pump could cause those symptoms.
