I Just wanted to know if I can reusing head bolts. I know its not recommended by gm but do you guys think it will be a problem if I do? If not where can I got the best bolts for the money, or how much will it cost at the dealer. Has anyone reused them before???.....Let me know guys im dying to finish this thing....

 

I replaced head gaskets on my Z28 in April, had the heads machined at a very reputable machine shop and the machinist said definately replace the bolts. I bought ARP head bolts from Thunder Racing ...... along with some other stuff. The bolts are like $50.00 if I remember correctly.

 

Most people will say change them. The ARP I hear are the best ones. If you don't like the $50 cost, Autozone carrys Felpro (I believe) ones for $12. I have the Felpro ones for over a year (>13K miles) and no problems.
