The car is a '94 Z28. I was driving today when all of a sudden the car would not go above 2500 rpm. It would cut out and almost die then return to idle but not go anywhere. Then I put it in neutral and park and it will rev just fine. It only occurs when the engine is under load. After this occurs, it has trouble starting (a/f ratios off?)

Trying to get some ideas before I go to town on it. Thanks guys...

Cat was replaced in September.

I just got it running, there was a little water in the intake/MAF and i cleaned it out and now it doesnt cut out. Dont know what the problem was but it will probably come back.
