Cutout on single cat car

I called the shop today and my appointment is tomorow, but i still cant figure out where to put it....im totally set putting it before the cat, i dont really see the point of putting it behind it...but when i looked under today, i saw there was not enough room to put it there, now im thinking of ripping off the cat altogether, but dont really want to do that, cuz then i'd have to weld the shield back on somewhere ....where did you guys put yours?

Re: Cutout on single cat car

I am not sure what you plan on spending money wise, but here is a solution:
Have them put flanges on each end of pipe before and after your cat, with balled ends so it is a bolt on cat. Then get them to make you a pipe that is the length of where the cat is that also has flanges, so you can bolt it on. Now you can have the cutout in the pocket just before the axle, have the true straight pipe you are after and still be emissions legal (when you want to be)

Hope this helps

Access is also very good. I'm not sure if you are talking about the cat or the cutout for access, but they are both good. I was going to have this done on friday, but I was almost late for work, but I am going back to have this done. I have 17" 5 spoke rims, and I can see my cutout through the holes when I bend down. I put my e-cutout on without jacking the car up, so It should be pretty easy.

Wow, I couldn't do that on my car. Guess it just depends on where you put it. I have duals in the y pipe.

I have mine right before the axle, and the exhaust is really close to the passenger side of the car, so I just set an old blanket down and bolted that sucker up there. Then I ran the power wire when I put on my alum. ds, and I had to jack it up for that, but he doesnt have an electric yet, so for his purposes, he doesnt have to worry about that yet.
