cutout
cutout
Finally uncapped the cutout today and damn that thing sounds bad a$$. Get a lot more looks and people are just like what is in that thing, :P. Only thing i don't really like are the extra rattles at low RPM, can't tell if it's exhaust rattle or interior rattle. Have to head back to exhaust shop see if we can put more space between cutout and rest of exhaust. Otherwise, one of the best mods i have done, can't wait to install the electronic portion to open/close when i want.
This is probably a stupid question but since i got the cutout there is a lot of vibration inside the car at low RPMs now and i was wondering if i can apply dynamat to the bottom of the car just above the cutout. Don't want to create a fire hazard or anything, so please no one call me stupid and just answer my question please.

j/k man. I'd reposition the cutout further towards the rear bumper. Those exhaust gases do get pretty hot.
My cutout is mounted RIGHT before the bend of the rear axle so I can't move it back any further, i wanted to put dynamat to maybe absorb some of the added vibration. And when i put on my DMH electronic portion it will probably be alittle closer then the cutout is now. Any other way of reducing the interior vibration?
