Cut out with a RPM Switch... Anyone???

I have heard of this being done on some japanise model 3000GTs were the cut out has an electric cap that opens to give top end housepower with out loseing the lowend torque. Anyone try this or hear anything about it? Would the extra $150-200 be worth it so it would open at around 3000?

The cutout takes about 4 seconds to open for one, and for two, we dont need no stinkin back pressure like those little *** engines. Open it at the beginning and go!

If you wanted to open it automatically you could use an RPM switch and a relay coupled with a DEI 530T window control module. The 530T would take a constant 12V- (relay 30) on the roll down input wire (from relay 87A) to keep the cut out closed. Once the window switch engaged it would "open" the relay and (from relay 87) feed 12V- to the window roll up input wire - opening the electric cut out. The cool thing is if you have two electric cutouts the 530T is a two window up/down module. The 530T knows to stop automatically due to the increased amperage when the motor hits the stops.

This same exact wiring setup could be used on single or dual NX remote bottle openers.

Thats about how long it takes mine to open. They arent designer for speed, but rather are more to save you time from crawling under the car and uncapping, and for the ability to do it on the fly in the car, at anytime.
