I want to make my own headers. car is camaro 1995.
its stosk exept borla exhaust and kn filter.

I can make laser cut flanges.

is 40mm=1,57 inch primaries would be ok?

what lenght should primaries have?

car is for normal street use

 

A lot of research goes into making headers. Its not as simple as just welding some tubes to a flange. Primary lengths vary between 20-30" and the common OD is 1.75". If you want to make your own headers, go ahead, but without the proper calculations, they will never perform near as well as say Hookers.

 

That's pretty ambitious. Most people don't even want to install them, and you're going to make them. Wow. Good luck with that man. I would just buy some. There is alot of engineering that goes into them. I don't think you'll get the performance that you want if you make them yourself though. Good luck!
