Custom Exhaust opinions

I'm looking at building a custom catback exhaust. I say custom meaning non Flowmaster, SLP, etc... I am thinking of doing an X-pipe instead of a Y-pipe, with two Magnum Glasspack's. I currently have the FLP longtube headers, ORPs, and a flowmaster cat-back. I realize the Glasspack's will be loud, are there any others that are similar and maybe quieter? I am thinking of maybe just running the headers to X-pipe to Glasspacks w/ turndown's and that's it.

Any thoughts on this, has anybody done this, any ideas on how to make this better?

My car is a 97 Z, A4.

Thanks for any input.

If I were going to build a custom exhaust, I would make a true dual like the one on ls1speed.com http://www.ls1speed.com/catagory.cfm?catagory=exhaust
Its half way down the page.

Link didn't work just pick any year ls1 camaro and go to the exhaust section.

ya see that's not what i want to do though, I appreciate the thought but I'm not looking for a total exhaust package. I wanna do something different and that's why I was thinking of having the exhaust dump underneath the car in front of the rear axle.

just a thought.
