custom engine lifting bracket worked! Motor went in thru the top!
That plate is called the Happy Hooker from TPIS. Honestly I was a bit skeptical of picking up my engine with 4 1/4" bolts with less than 1/2" of thread engagement into aluminum also... But I know several people who also have used that plate and worked fine. I just made my own and thought I would share.
BTW, thanks for the compliments... I hope it will be running soon.

I bought the valve covers here used. I dont know the brand but they look a lot like the Canton standard centerbolt.
The intake is a genuine LT4... powdercoat not paint.
I keep getting requests for info about the motor so here it is:
355 4 bolt main vette block. Eagle light weight forged crank, (internal balanced) Eagle 6" rods, JE domed nitrous pistons 12.4:1 with 63cc chamber. TFS heads done by TEA. 220cc, 2.08/1.60 flowed 317 @ .700. Custom Cam Motion SR 263/270 .686"/.674 on a 112 lsa. Custom Manton 3/8" pr's and Jessel rockers. Canton 242T pan, home ported LT4 intake... and alot of elbo grease to clean and polish stuff.

When i do finally get her running and track ready I am sure I will make an appearance at E-town, but I run at Atco the most.

Thanks, I built that garage when I bought this house. Its a 24x30 pole barn. I wired it with 2000 watts of lighting, studded it out on 24's, insulated it with r-19 and covered the walls with OSB. The celing is 2" poly foam just dropped in with the shiny side down.
Got outlets every 4 ft down the left side and every 8 on the right. electric heater like the one you have haning on the wall there. and tools I have accumulated. When I need something I just go buy it.
I'm not looking forward to loosing it when I move... I will need a bigger house soon and moving that garage will be a pain.

Its an alternator relocation kit from SJM manufacturing. Its OK, but not the best in the world. Its a bit too flimsy for me and it seems to flex a bit on a high HP motor. The alternator wants to tweek forward on acceleration and the belts can walk forward and fly off. I made another bracket on the back of the alt to help combat this but there are people who dont have any problems without it. Do a search for sjm and for the other thread I made.

Let me know when your ready I'll be down to help.
