There is an electrical problem that all 97s (and 96 too I think) will have due to the AIR pump drawing too much current. There was a recall for this to be fixed free of charge. Unfortunately mine caused toasted wires and blown fuses before the recall was announced. The car drove like crap and overheated.

Other than that, just a window motor.

Mind-
I dont think there were ANY electrical additions/subtractions for 97 (aside from maybe emissions and such)

Maybe the routing for the newdash

Back to this one kind of late....

Thanks for the information guys.

In all that I forgot to mention that my buddy is looking to buy a 97 Z or SS. Another guy I talked to at the local Auto Zone here the other day said his Z has had no probs electrically.... just bulbs and normal stuff that goes out, along with a driver side window motor, so I don't really know where my friend is coming from on this. I don't smack my friends round too much... I just listen.

And yeah Trey, I don't know where he's coming from on this either but according to him "the 97's are the worse", ha ha. So yeah, what changes would have made them worse??? You mention the dash and I'm with ya, but nothing mentioned here has anything to do with anything specific to 97's. Maybe he's just being a bit paranoid. You know what they say.... "You can pick your nose and you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your friend's nose".
After a ride in my car this past week, he's hooked. I expect to see one in his driveway before the end of this month. Then he can get rid of the Mitsu Diamante he's spent so much money on just to keep it running.

Thanks again.
