Question Curb Idle Speed

My curb idle speed is about 550-575 rpm on my 94Z28.Due to my March U.D&Vig.stall this is much too low(battery/alt. charging issues)etc.Car feels sluggish around town.I need to raise idle to about 675-700rpm;i,ve raised it to 600-625 via the screw on the factory t.b but still needs more. Can this idle be raised more by that screw or get my tuner to do it?Thanks.BTW this is more evident since i had the Vig.stall put in!

The idle is controlled by the computer. Even if you change the screw on the TB (which you should not mess with), the computer will still try to keep it at the same RPM. Messing with the throttle stop screw will throw your TPS and IAC readings out of whack and you will end up with more troubles. You need reprogramming to change the idle speed.

Update

Yes i noticed that the tps volt on my scanmaster was now @0.78 vs. the 0.70 it was b/f.I will send my pcm to madtunerz28 to raise idle to 675-700 rpm&do some other updates @the same time.Btw i will get my local mechanic to set the screw back to the orig.position.Thanks shoebox for that reply.
