Re: CSR water pump wiring
while you are at it go to jegs and order a painless wiring kit. its 30 or 40 bucks but some good insurance. it has a relay/fuse built in. no problems w/ mine so far and it makes it easier to hookup.
Re: CSR water pump wiring
don't waste your money on the painless wiring kit. pickup a fog light relay for your car, and use it following the link that was listed earlier. go to the parts store and pickup any old wire (appropriate size) that has an inline fuse. it's very easy. pickup 5 feet of black, and of blue wire also. i think it's 14 guage, but i don't remember. use the schematics on that link listed above. its very easy. wire it into the ignition fuse in the box

Re: CSR water pump wiring
I got rid of the worthless (and failure prone) AIR system and used the relay and wiring from that. Had to make some small wiring changes (the fuel pump signal now activates it).
It's too bad we don't have a more complete disassembly of the PCM's code. Would be great if we could just reflash the PCM to run the AIR pump all the time and hook it up!

Re: CSR water pump wiring
I just wired up mine last weekend using a fuel pump relay.
Hooked the red onto the junction box near the battery with a 10 amp fuse.
Hooked black to a good known ground (at screw used to mount the relay).
Hooked yellow to the ignition fuse with a fuse tap at the engine compartment fuse box.
Hooked the blue wire coming out of the pump to the other red wire coming out of the relay box.
Hooked the black wire coming out of the pump to a good ground.
Has worked perfect ever since.
