csi isn't known for making the best lt1 electric pumps. not sure if this could be the cause but a friend of mine had a fuse go bad and it overheated. he also ran a csi pump. might not be related at all, who knows

First turn your car off at the pump, we dont need anyone becoming burnt toast because of a spark.

Second, If its pushing water out of the reserve you may have put to much coolant water mix back in after the swap. Also, are you fans turning on properly?

Check these items and get back to us. I put to much coolant in mine once and it screwed with the temperature and leaked out of the reserve. Once it pushed out the extra it was fine.

I was under the impression that CSI made one of the better pumps since they use an advanced ceramic sealing system and dont used set screws with come loose over time like other systems. Although the electric pump designs are not yet perfected by any company. If its the pump send it back they should replace it without question. Good luck.

ok no its not too full i keep filling it up bc every time it gets to about 210 it starts leakin out the top...lol turn it off at the pump it was just an example that if i leave it runnin sittin still for about 5 minutes it gets hott...ok and yes the fans are correct about 225 they come on thats great but the car gets to about 215 and starts boiling over(out the cap and resavoir) and doesnt get any hotter normally...it will boil out and then if i park somwhere and come back out a couple hours later when the car is cool..the low coolant leve light is on
im confused i jsut had the motor rebuilt and rediator redone too so theres no gunk...i have about 1 gallon of antifreeze and 1 in a half water

Sounds like you have air in the system. CSI is a great pump, had mine over 4 years and still running strong. You must bleed both air valves to purge the air out of the system. The car will still get hot during slow periods of stop and go traffic just due to the fans not comming until the 215 degree mark even though you have a 160 stat. To fully utilize the 160 stat potential an PCM programming change is needed to make the fans come on earlier.

Have the cap pressure tested. If it wont hold pressure you will push the coolant out .
