CSI leaking

Looks to be my CSI is leaking where the wires come out. How could this be? Why would there be water in that part of the pump. There is like a little plastic/rubber piece that seems to act maybe like a stopper. Would silicone maybe stop it? What about blue permatex?

I would give CSI a call.
There should not be water escaping anywhere.
Sounds like the seal between the impeller and the motor has given up.

CSI should be able to help you out with either a rebuild or a new pump but it will probably cost you a few bucks.
