CSI install, temp sensor wires wont reach

tying to hook up all my electrical connections tonight and the coolant temp sensor (one in w/p) wont reach due to the CSI pump. Can I just extend them or will it affect the reading. Is there enough room if i carefully remove them from the wiring harness?? Thanks, Chris.

It shouldn't affect the reading by extending them but you shouldn't be having this problem at all, check to make sure the wire harness isn't routed outside of something first where it comes from the top of the motor through the brackets and other stuff that would take up the length. I actually have enough excess in mine that I have it fastened to the fan shroud. I'm almost certain its just a matter of rerouting it though, hope this helps. This is the first instance I heard of anyone having this situation after a waterpump swap.
