Cruising in 1st gear in an A4

Cruising in 1st gear in an A4

i like to cruise around campus (20 mph speedl imit) in 1st gear, there any cons to doing this? im not like manually downashifting or anything

If you use the gear for a lot of engine braking, it will wear out tranny clutches faster.

if I seen you driving around a school in first gear I not only would I make fun of you so would my girl friend.She even knows better.no it will not harm anything but gas mileage.

am i missing something? why would you drive around in first instead of drive anyway? the only time i use 1st gear in a automatic is going up a hill.

im guessing so the RPMS are higher, which = louder car
