I changed the cruise control box and put on a new cable to the throttle body. What are the chances of wires running to that cruise control box getting burned?

Cuz the only thing i can think of left besides that is the turn signal lever.. the switch in that might have gone bad...

Do u know if the lever switch is a common problem?? I really hope its it..
anything else i should look at or know.
