Creative a/c delete

My a/c doesnt work so i want to delete it but the delete clips are like 60$ which is not worth it for me. I was wondering if itd be fine if i just took all the guts out and just left the compressor there to take place on the belt, would that work? My clutch seized up so i only have problems when i turn it on and i already disconnected the fuses for that.

So can i take everytrhing out and just leave the compressor? Im mainly in it for weight savings and extra space. I dont use my ac anyways.

you can pick up a piece of sheetmetal cheap and then just cut and drill to fit... real cheap

I'm talking about this: Do i need the a/c delete bracket or can i just take out all the pipes and stuff and just leave the compressor to allow the accessory belt to turn correctly.

yeh youcan take out all the pipes, and the condensor, but the main part of the weight is coming from the compressor. its like 15-20 pounds. Might as well take it out and buy the AC delete bracket. its like 45 bucks.

Re: Creative a/c delete

My AC compressor went out about a week ago and I didn't have the money to put on a new one, so I went with the AC Delete Bracket. Installtion went real smooth and I left everything so I can go back to AC if I ever want too.
