i would think that they should be able to design a PR checker that can handle the regular springs. mine arent as big as the 987's some people are using around here so maybe they will work? i dont really want to ruin the checker its the comp cams one, it was only like 20 bucks.

You won't know until you try it. The guy who told me not to use the regular springs with the Comp Cams Hi Tech pushrod checker was one of the guys on the Comp Cams tech support line. I figured, why take a chance?
