Hey All,

Trying to figure out a good cam setup still – Maybe the Comp Cam XE-503 with the 1.6 rockers:

-What springs can I buy that don’t need machining?
- Will my Air Conditioning still work?
-Do Comp Cams / Summit or anyone else sell a kit with the rockers, cam , springs- retainers and all that jazz?

(Side question – what is that tool called to measure bearing clearance (crankshaft)… its like a feeler gauge but not… any ideas?)

i think what you are referring to is plastiguage which is this strip of wax you put on the bearing and then you torque them down whether it be the mains or rod journals and then afterwords you measure the width that the wax got crushed out and compare it measurement thingy that comes with the plastiguage to figure out your clearances

Re: Cam

i have a crane-spring kit with comp locators that will work with your stock heads WITHOUT machining and are good to MORE than what youll need with that cam. they are good to a .600 lift. For 145shipped id give you everything needed to instal these.(springs,locks,retainers,locators)..let me know.

1. What is the rest of your setup?
2. What do you want the car to do, act like?

Your AC will still work and you can get all the parts needed from Summit or anyplace easliy, just have to know what to order.

FWIW Beehive springs will work on stock heads and drop right in.
