What is the correct woodruff key size for the crank when installing a keyed hub?

 

I don't know the exact size, but I am pretty sure it is the same as any SBC.

 

I believe you have a choice of 'long' or 'short' and short would be the correct size for most SBC. As Shoebox said the woodruff key is the same as a SBC.

I came across a post the other day where someone stated the dimensions. I have searched for quite some time now but have not been able to find it.

 

I believe it is 3/16 x 3/4. You can get it at any auto parts store in the multi - Dorman pack or at a tractor supply of just go to any machine shop and see if they will sell you one for a buck.

For future reference
The 3/4"x 3/16" Woodruff key is supposed to be 3/16" thick, 5/16" high from a 3/4" diameter base circle.
Took me a couple of minutes to make one. I will try it out tomorrow.
