Angry Cranks wont start

Hey guys, my car is just doing this new deal where it cranks over at full speed but wont start. The fuel pump is pumping, but I havent checked for fuel pressure, I cant find the valve. Where is it, does it have one? Next, what is the easiest way to check for spark? I can pull a wire off, but there is NO slack to check it. Anything that I should check? Thanks.

Have you checked your alternator? The next thing I would do is check to see if your car is getting spark at the ignition coil (Pull the ignition coil wire). If it does then check to see if the car is getting spark at the spark plug. What valve are you talking about? How many miles does the car have on it?

95000 miles, and it is the schraeder valve. Can't really get to the plugs, any suggestions? Where in the hell is the coil? Sorry, Im not an idiot, I just havent had a 4th gen all that long. Are you thinking opti? I dont know where it is, or how to check it, can anyone direct me? The car spins over fine without a jump so I dont think its the alt, as the battery is not dead, it should still fire.

Oops is this for a 4th gen or 3rd gen. If it is a 3rd gen than I would highly recommend posting this in the 3rd gen forum. Sorry for the confusion.

update:

pulled a plug wire off the plug and cranked it over, no spark. the dude told me his water pump was leaking and he replaced it. ive heard this can cause your opti to go out because it drips on it. any truth?

That is correct. If drip enough coolant on your opti you can kiss that badboy goodbye. Try checking another wire.

Still going to do some more research, but say it is the opti, can he get one anywhere other than GM parts? If so, where is a good place, and how much can he look to spending?

if you fill out your location so ppl know where you are at.. i am sure somebody on this board would help you install an opti.

I don't know if i would just blame the opti so quick........you are sure your getting no spark......i'd invest in a spark plug checker.....hooks to plug and wire.........by the way you need to have something for the spark to jumb across....and sometimes its hard to see in bright light.
