It Cranks But Won't Start

I got a "96 Caprice. The only modification done to it is the installation of a set of Hooker Headers. While idling, it ran out of gas. I got some gas with a can ( Yes. it was gas.) and refueled. Since then it has refused to start. This is about 4 months ago. I have checked the following possibilities:
- Fuel Pump and Filter -All Fuel Injectors - Coil - Distributor -Plugs
- Starter - Timing Chain and Sprockets- Battery (new)
Yet, she refuses to start. Oh! I forgot to mention that the computer was replaced by an exact replacement that's known to be good. Moreover, I'm not getting any codes from the PCM. Did I miss something?

Are you sure it is getting fuel? How far did you go into checking the fuel pump?

How did you test the fuel pump? What fuel pressure tests have you performed? If you know you're getting spark, I'd bet your pump went bad as air went through it as you ran out of gas.

Two people post about the fuel pump at the same time - that's saying something, go perform more tests on the pump and let us know what tests you have performed already.

Your pump is shot. Got over heated from running on empty. See them every week. Real easy test. Release any fuel pressure at the schrader valve. Now do KOEO for 2 seconds and then off. Do this for 5 or 6 times and then see if pressure has built up at the schrader valve. If not, sorry. Kaching$$$$$$$.

First. Allow me to thank all who responded to my plight. I recently joined the site, and the post you responded was my maiden voyage. It's comforting to know that there are individuals somewhere out there who are willing to give their time and experience to some faceless guy with a problem. Not to sound "soapy," but I truly appreciate all responders. Now for the matter at hand. I had removed the fuel pump from the tank and had it bench-tested by my mechanic. I witnessed the test. It worked well. However, I'll perform the schrader valve test.

Performed the schrader valve test. The fuel pressure is great. Can a sagging timing chain be the culprit? I checked the chain and thought it had too much play to it. In addition, the sprockets are scared unnaturally from the chain being loose. Can this cause the no-start problem?
