Cranking car by hand

I need to adjust a rocker tomorrow since another one managed to come loose.

I dont remember the procedure for hand cranking the engine. Can anyone explain it to me real quick?

Use the crankshaft or pulley bolts and turn slowly clockwise, letting compression bleed off as it gets hard to turn.
