Crank reluctor wheel / OBDI conversion question
Re: Crank reluctor wheel / OBDI conversion question
Ok I called ASP, told them what part # I had and he told me that those were not SFI certified until about 2 years ago, and if mine was then it would be stamped into the front of it. Well, mine is not stamped, and I bought it over five years ago
sorry.
sorry.
Re: Crank reluctor wheel / OBDI conversion question
Yeah, I would definatly trade hubs and timing covers, oh yeah and the reluctor wheel too.
Is the 4 tooth gonna work for your needs?

Re: Crank reluctor wheel / OBDI conversion question
sorry...the hub i have is trash, it spun on the crank snout...but ill trade covers, yes the 4 tooth relucter is exactly what i need...if we trade covers and you include a good sensor and reluctor ill do what i can to re-imburse you for a good used 95 hub
Re: Crank reluctor wheel / OBDI conversion question
I would go for that. But just FYI, a new hub is around $50, and a new crank sensor is around $20. I'm sure mine is good because it everything worked when I converted it, but if you want to do this deal, I will include a brand new acdelco sensor.
Re: Crank reluctor wheel / OBDI conversion question
Reassembly with the stock '96 up hub & no reluctor will cause a misalignment of your serpentine belt. You may get away with this, but I do not recommend it. It can either wear the belt or may jump a few ribs under hard acceleration.
do it correctly & save yourself some headaches.
