Did you take the center bolt out of the hub? common mistake.

The next most common mistake is not using something down the center of the crank bolt hole to push against.

take the center bolt off but not all the way. you can use the puller to push against the crank bolt and out comes the hub!

They said it. Bolt out in middle, then you need to thread in a longer bolt (7/16th 20 thread) to push against. I was using a several ton 3 tow puller and it was still a biotch.

DO NOT put the pressure on the threads... I ended up having to helicoil the hole for that bolt in the crank. Instead, get a strong bolt that will hit the end of the hole so it will push on the crank instead of the threads. It's a fine thread hole so it strips easy especially with a grade 8 bolt and a soft crank.

What i have found to work best was use a pulley puller from Autozone, take the hub bolt out ,use a smaller bolt to push against the crank ,then go buy longer bolts ( grade8) thread them through the crank and put a nut on the back of each bolt. That will help make sure you don't strip anything out and the pulley will come off easy..... To put the pulley back on all you need to do is buy a 12 inch long grade 8 allthread, a few flat washers and nut to press it on don't waiste your $ on an installer.
