Taking my stock crank hub to a local engine shop tomarrow and having them slot my stock hub.. i did a stroker build and crank snout is slotted and already has key in it... is there any certain place to have them take the slot out of the hub or is it just anywhere??

 

The crank keyway is centered with cyls 1&2 journal. At least thats the way it was in my scat crank. I broached the keyway at 45 degs to the right of the line in the stock hub. That way it would have the same position as when originally assembled by GM.

 

Lots of these machined hubs on E-Bay. Might be cheaper?
