Crank hub confusion

Hey guys,
Just joined the forum a few minutes ago so I'm a newbie. Here's my problem. Bought a 95 trans am that was a turd someone else was trying to polish. Got it home and dove in head first. Had a nasty vibration that I pinpointed was a crank hub issue as I don't believe it's seating correctly. On the end of the hub it looks as though the edge of the key for the timing gear has dug into the hub(like its trying to press past it to seat properly). Thought it was bent at first but tried a second one off my z28 that was perfect and within a couple high revs it started wobbling like it was working itself off the crank.

I'm taking a shot and saying its the wrong hub. Cars a 95 but the Jack-*** that sold it to me put a new bottom end in it. Is it possible that the snout on the end of the crank is different. I know there are 3 different hub sizes listed in jegs and the 96-97 are different. I'm at a loss to figure out witch one I need and the A-hole that sold me the car isn't answering my calls(hmm wonder why?)
Lemme know what you think guys thanks

Is the metal spacer still behind the crank bolt between it and hub(very thick washer roughly1/4" thick). I was told without it hub can work loose(not sure if true but it was there for a reason) Try shbox for some info on specific hubs. That site will become very valuable if you are not already aware of it.
